If it was going to be swift and severe the military tribunal would have already tried and executed him. Maybe the presumption of innocence beyond any reasonable doubt is available to him from the tribunal. Basic rights are supposed to be given to everyone when accused of a crime. I do not know why the military tribunal took so long in setting up a trial. Maybe they were getting too much media attention and didn’t want to execute him without a trial first. After all, military tribunals are typically for reprimanding our own soldiers and not enemy combatants. Looks like some in our military are willing to abide by the Geneva Convention rules on what is considered "war crimes". New yorkers are anxious to hear the evidence so they can either "exile him" or "hang ‘im high".

It will likely be a media circus the way the first OJ trial was. Though I heard that there will not be any cameras in the court allowed.

The government won’t stand for a media circus . It’s not politically viable . Wham Bam , they will convict him just like Saddam Hussein.

It can’t be too long as he’s pleading guilty. He has also asked for the death penalty.
