Nothing to do with rockets, they’ll never leave West Bank even if there’s no rockets, no hamas there. And there’s nothing to do to change that.

Is there any connection between Iraq and Terrorism?
Many are claiming there is no connection between Iraq and terrorism, but I see a different story. Even before the invasion Al Qaeda operatives were running around Iraq. In one case one was arrested by the Iraqi police and one of Saddam’s sons had him release. Do not forget Ansar Al Islam in the north.
Since the take over there has been an unprecedented number of terrorist attacks even specifically targeting civilians. On top of this Al Qaeda has chosen Iraq to be the battle ground in which to fight the United States. If Al Qaeda wasn’t in Iraq it is in a big way now in which the previous Al Zarqawi primarily lead the insurgency. Maybe it is serendipitous but I think Iraq is a key position in that if Iraq falls or become truly democratic it can have a decisive impact for either side.
With this all said I’m not sure we are fighting this war intelligently was we could. I think we are still thinking in the 2 dimensional conventional sense. We need to be more creative and multi pronged in our approach.
giggssoccer83, I think you are forgeting who icited the civil war in the first place, Al Qaeda. It seems like they succeded. And on top of that the tactics of specifically targeting civilian makes them terrorists in my book.

purplefish001, you need to look at terrorism in a holistic way else you will miss the larger picture. The root to the terrorism we are experiencing is related to militant Islam in which whose philosophy is all to omnipresent in the middle-east.
purplefish001, in regards to your comment about us being no safer. I would disagree. We have not had one single attack on the United States since 9/11. I do not believe this is by coincidence. I also believe we will be attacked again no matter what. The severity and the longevity of those attacks rest upon our sholders. I can tell you this for certain. Enabling the terrorists will not solve the problem. As Churchill once said an appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile hoping it will eat him last.
purplefish001, hhmmmm, a zealot, I wouldn’t necessarily describe myself that way. But if that is what you want to project… In anycase I asked the question not because I was clueless but because I sincerely want a dialog, even with people who do not necessarily agree with me. And in spite of all I do know, there is much more to learn, including anothers perspective.
