Trust me, some of these claims are false. I know some people who claim this and since we’re from the same family tree, I know we’re both not related to the Prophet (pbuh). I think some claim this because they feel like they’ll have a closer connection to the religion if they’re related to Prophet Mohamed. But that’s silly… religion shouldn’t be about blood ties, we were all created by God and that should be good enough for any Muslim.

Actually he does have quite a few descendents and relatives. This would be true of any person who lived 1400 years ago. There are a relatively small number of people from whom all 6-7 billion of us are descended over 65,000 years.
They are not descendants from Mohammed, They are descentants from Abraham & Ishmeal & Ishmeal was the bond woman & the promise did not come Ishmeal but from Issac
The Arabs were merchants. They travelled far and wide with their spices and carpets to trade in distant lands. Many settled in the land they traded with.
When the Arabs came to India, they married and settled over there that is why I have an Arab surname and I am an Indian muslim. My family in fact still carries on the name Sayed which means that we r descendants of Muhammad(pbuh).
Haven’t u seen Philippinos with Spanish surnames? It is because the Spanish invaded Philippines which was once a muslim country.

or I think you missunderstood, we believe in Muhammad SAW, as He is The Last Prophet of Allah SWT, we believe He is the Prophet that completed a Religion to all Humans called Islam. and we praise Him as a Prophet not the same with we praise Allah SWT.
